The state election commission has released the reservation list for the chief councilor posts of 48 municipal council of the state on Friday.In the municipal general election 2017, the posts of chief councilor in these council have been reserved for various categories.According to the list released by the commission, the posts of the chief councilor of the municipal council may become the mayor this category only.

The commission has clarified that the unreserved women means that the women of any class can be a candidates from here.In this way, the other unreserved means that candidates belonging to scheduled caste and backward classes are candidates for the posts of general posts from here.In addition the commission has also made it clear that Hilsa, Arval,Benipuri, and Bihat will not contest elections. The provision of reservation in these municipal council will be effective in the fourth coming elections.
